Twilight Saga Breaking down Trailer analysis lighting
The trailer starts off with high-key lighting as it shows a beach place surrounded with greenery trees. The high-key lighting fades in to low key as the back lights produces strong contrast of the light as there is a wedding happening. The low key lighting continues as they are having a party the back lighting reflects on the couple as they are walking down. The scene then changes to a high key lighting with the use of top lighting which makes the couple look glamorize even though there is a problem happening as they are crying. This connotes that the story might be about a break up between the vampire and his wife. High-key lighting is on the road way and the car travelling gives it a realistic depth to the scene as it a dim scene. Although the shadow is created the contrast between light and dark is much less seen. The girl lying on the bed has just woken up backlight is used as it comes from behind her and shines her face as well as gives us a bright and light image.

Analyzing pictures effects lighting.

Picture number 1 is a High- key lighting of a women smoking the high-key creates a shadow as it has a side of darkness on the left and bright lighting on the right sides of smoke. This makes her look evil as she is staring right at the camera (direct mode of address). It can also be seen as mystical as the smoke is covering her hand and it’s fading her face. This is top lighting as the light is coming from over her head and reflections of light can be seen on her left cheek.
Picture 2; is a Low-key lighting as it produces a strong effect as its all dark from below. There is top lighting which makes the face look realistic. The women in the picture is staring above which also connotes mystery and suspense as we are unaware of what she is looking at
Picture 3; is of a man looking directly at the camera in a sort of anger which makes the picture look real.  The crown suggests that he is a prince or king. The lighting used is back lighting as a silhouette is created.
Picture 4: is of a man wearing a cape, he is looking up at the sky in anger. The shot is a under shot it makes the person look strong & were looking up at him as a role model

Picture 5 is of a women staring directly at the camera and smiling the lighting used is top lighting the picture uses high-key lighting as its seen more realistic and the shadow is creating the realistic part of the picture as the shadow is reflecting in the background
Picture 6 is of a couple kissing the lighting used is back lights as the source comes from behind the object and is reflecting on the couple. It is a high-key lighting as the sun if shining through the curtains and the shadow of the curtain is reflection on the couple is is also realistic.
Picture 7 is of four men standing together their shadow is reflecting on the ground the lighting used if top lighting as the light is shining from above and their shadow is on the floor. this is a low key lighting picture as the strong contrast of lighting creates a dramatic shadow of the dark picture.
Picture 8 is of a women face but only her right side she is looking towards something and is shocked this creates suspense. The under lighting gives a bigger effect to the shadow as the shadow looks bigger it is a low key picture as it has an dramatic affect.
